Tarantulas
Female Curly Hair tarantula-5 years old. This tarantula is covered in long bristles that have a characteristic curl to them giving them a unique look, which is why they are nick-named "curly-haired" tarantulas. They are typically docile. Females live potentially between 8–25 years of age and Males roughly 4–5 years. Most invertebrate hobbyists do not handle their tarantulas due to the risk of dropping or injurying them, but there are many precautions to avoid mishaps.

Mature specimens are almost entirely black. Although like most new world tarantulas it possesses urticating hairs, if provoked, they would much rather flee than attack. Female Chaco Golden Knee tarantula-1 1/2 years old. The Chaco Golden Knee is a large tarantula, being able to reach between 7 and 8 inches in leg span. Fancy, I know. Psalmotoxin may be of therapeutic use in patients with a stroke. They are known to have a powerful bite, so caution should be taken when handling; that's why I am here. (I wear protective gloves)
